Start of the fishing trip – conditions
Fishing report 13th and 14th of May 2023 – this weekend has had some of the first summer species of this year. With not a breath of wind around. This weekend we had a crew from London come aboard. Meeting at the famous Fort Road Cafe. My customers grabbed a quick bite to eat before we set sail.
The boat’s first stop.
Today we decided to head out to a well-known bass mark. Where we fished lures in 100ft of water. And it was no surprise to find that the fish were there.
Bass on lures
We managed to get a few Bass on some small lures supplied by lazy lures. But I knew there had to be more fish out there somewhere, so we kept going until we had our limit of Bass.
On to the Wrecks!
Once we hit our limit of Bass we decided to head out to some deep-water wrecks fishing in around 190ft. This proved harder than the first mark. But still, we managed a few wreckfish and Mackerel along with some Gurnard.
See you soon
Regards
