Newhaven, we try to target literally any fish that can get a bit of plastic in its mouth. During the 6-hour session, you will be shown several different techniques to catch a variety of different fish.

Our lure fishing trips target different species throughout the year tides and times of the day make a huge difference too. while aboard you may catch fish such as Mackerel / Plaice / Bass / Gurnard / Squid / and many more different and colourful fish.
How we fish on the boat with lures
When out on one of our Lure fishing trips kestrel warriors expert skipper will take everybody’s skill set into consideration. So don’t worry if you’ve never lure fished from a boat we will teach you. we use many different types of lures and methods. we use slow jigs for plaice lead heads for bass and squid jigs for Cephalopod. Using different ways such as casting lures vertical jigging and bouncing lures.
Our fishing tackle and lures that we supply
All our tackle aboard the boat for lure fishing was purchased with fun in mind. using state-of-the-art equipment all of our reels are Penn international slammer reels loaded with SFX 8 carrier braid these reels are paired up with Yokazoma rods. All end tackle is supplied with the trip so no need to worry.
Bass how many can I keep?
A common question we are asked all the time is can I keep my bass? and how many can I keep? well, the answer is yes. between certain times of the year. from the 1st of December to the 1st of March we operate a catch and release policy and between March and December we allow passengers to keep a maximum of 2 basses between the minimum size of 42cm and we also have a maximum size policy of 48cm this is to maximize the fish stocks in the UK.

We can offer the whole boat for a private charter, so the cost is the same whether you bring 1 or 8 passengers. It’s only you and your guests. The area is up to and no more than 3 miles off. We usually fish over sand, man-made structures, and inshore reefs.
